For those who spend the entire winter months in a fugue state, depressed, waiting for it to snow, it is only reasonable that they would want to delay the inevitable return of warm weather. It is understandable, then, that the approach of spring can often bring a sense of dread, the snow will melt, and the skis put away until next season. The weather in the spring months, March and April, is great. There is usually a nice snow pack from the winter, and it is still very suitable, as the ski resorts attempt to improve the conditions and groom the slopes. The very best prices are available in the spring months, due to a perception that the ski season has ended. Not only are lift tickets at their lowest price of the season, but airfare and hotel prices will be dramatically lower. Check with your travel agent, or an online travel site and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Finally, and best of all, there are the spring festivals in Breckenridge, like the Spring Massive which runs from April 1 through the close of the Breckenridge ski season in late April. So don�t pack your skis away in the closet yet, instead, call your travel agent and head into the Colorado Rockies for that final blowout of the season!
