Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championships

What is Breckenridge best known for snow! So, it only makes sense that this town worships the ground that the snow falls upon, and what better way to pay tribute to the fluffy stuff than carve wondrous shapes from it? Every year, Breckenridge hosts the Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championships, and participants from all around cant wait until January to show off their snow stuff.

At this very moment, groups of four snow sculptors from around the globe are gathering and planning the best snow sculpture that they can think of. From Arabian scenes to large animals, this snow sculpting competition has seen them all which makes your job even harder. In order to win this competition, your team will have to come up with a way to shape snow like never before. Think whimsical, think impossible, think out of the ordinary, and you just may have a chance.

The event usually takes place around January 26th, and there are three possible categories in which to score big points. You can have a crack at the Peoples Choice award, the Kids Choice award, or the Artists Choice award, but you will have to be cleverly creative in order to beat these sculpting teams. Breckenridge is gearing up to gather snow from all around the town as soon as the snow flies in order to make the perfect cube of sculpting snow. Artists have sixty-five hours to complete their sculptures, and there is no entry fee for this competition. The Budweiser Select International Snow Sculpture Championship is all about having fun, so get out there and start carving!
